What they need

About Curia Regis

Curia Regis is a Singapore-focused regulatory compliance services firm that supports regulated financial institutions with their initial and ongoing regulatory obligations under the purview of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

As our client base grows, we are looking for a meticulous and proactive Operations Executive to support the delivery of client engagements and the day-to-day operations of our Singapore business from Kuala Lumpur. Candidates with an accounting, finance, legal, audit, or related professional services background are encouraged to apply. The role offers an opportunity to develop practical experience in financial services and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Operations Team and Compliance Consultants in delivering client engagements, including preparing and maintaining regulatory compliance and governance documentation.

· Assist with AML/CFT screening, review screening results, and help identify and escalate potential false positives or other items requiring further review.

· Assist in preparing and populating MAS regulatory reports, returns, surveys, and related submissions using information provided by clients and the team.

· Collect, organise, validate, and reconcile client information; identify data-entry errors, resolve inconsistencies, remove duplications, and maintain accurate records in line with relevant regulatory definitions.

· Prepare data summaries, reports, schedules, and supporting materials, including assisting with the review of financial information and financial statements where required.

· Maintain client compliance trackers, registers, calendars, project records, and document repositories, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are monitored and followed up.

· Coordinate information requests and follow up with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to support timely completion of engagement deliverables.

· Support the preparation and administration of proposals, engagement letters, invoices, and other client-related documentation.

· Help maintain and improve internal procedures, templates, standard operating procedures, and workflows to support consistent and scalable operations.

· Assist with data migration and other operational improvement projects, and undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

· A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline.

· Relevant experience in accounting, audit, legal services, financial services, regulatory compliance, or professional-services operations is preferred.

· A strong eye for detail, with the ability to work accurately with numerical information, records, and formal documentation.

· Good written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to understand and summarise technical or regulatory information clearly.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, track deadlines, and follow through on outstanding items.

· Ability to handle confidential client and business information responsibly.

· A proactive, dependable, and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and develop in the regulatory compliance field.

Advantageous Experience

· Experience in audit, accounting, legal, compliance, financial services, or a regulated environment.

· Familiarity with financial statements, AML/CFT processes, regulatory reporting, or compliance documentation.

· Experience maintaining structured datasets, trackers, registers, or project documentation.

· Exposure to Singapore financial-services regulation or MAS-regulated entities.

Personal Attributes

We value candidates who are self-motivated, resourceful, curious, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team. A positive attitude and a genuine interest in learning about regulatory compliance are important.
