Operations Executive/ Officer – Road Operations

YOUR ROLE

The incumbent will be part of the road operations team ensuring smooth running of the pre-post carriage covering but not limited to Airfreight, FCL, LCL, Cross Border and Batam Cross Dock within the Air & Ocean department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

·       Supervise transportation vendors to ensure their drivers are aware of their duties

·       Responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the organisation

·       Responsible to gauge the transportation requirements of the shipment and devise a cost effective and feasible transport planning

·       Maintain the department budget

·       Manage schedule and routes to assure the smooth running of Road operations

·       Communicating effectively with all the BU IFFO team and responding to their requirements before execute job to various sub-contractors ensuring they deliver within agreed terms

·       Dealing with the effects of traffic congestion

·       QHSE

o   Participate in the set-up and follow-up of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency

o   Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility

o   Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Essential

·       Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels

·       At least 2-3 years of relevant experience on Sea or Air freight

·       Good working knowledge about vehicles and trucks

·       Able to provide quick solutions and improvise on existing ones

·       Possess good communication skills

·       Ability to work flexibly and make decision quickly
