Operations - Freight Forwarding

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our Freight Forwarding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipment movements, liaising with customers, carriers, agents, and internal departments, and ensuring smooth execution of import, export, and cross-trade shipments while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day freight forwarding operations for sea, air, and land shipments.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, overseas agents, and customers for shipment execution.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery orders, and customs-related documents.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Arrange bookings with carriers and monitor vessel/flight schedules.
• Coordinate customs clearance and transportation requirements where applicable.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the operating system.
• Resolve shipment-related issues and proactively communicate any delays or exceptions.
• Liaise with overseas agents for rate confirmations, shipment updates, and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and international shipping regulations.
• Maintain proper records and filing of shipment documentation.
• Support the sales team with operational expertise and customer service requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Operations.
• Working knowledge of Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and Customs Clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and freight forwarding processes.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with freight forwarding software/ERP systems will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of UAE import/export procedures.
• Customer-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Liner/ Nvocc: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• UAE Drivers License (Required)
