Role summary

The Operations Head runs the company's day-to-day reinsurance broking operations and leads the operations team. The role makes sure every treaty and facultative account is placed, documented, monitored and serviced accurately and on time, from quotation through renewal.

Key responsibilities

Operations management

• Oversee the end-to-end workflow for treaty and facultative placements: slips, quotations, cover notes, endorsements, debit and credit notes, and closings.
• Monitor renewals and expiries so that no account lapses without action, and keep the renewal calendar current.
• Check the technical accuracy of placement documents, including terms, shares, premium and commission computations.
• Coordinate with cedants, reinsurers and co-brokers on placement, documentation and servicing concerns.
• Oversee the technical handling of claims: notification to reinsurers, document completion, follow-up and recovery tracking.
• Work with Finance on premium collection, remittance to reinsurers, account reconciliation and aging of receivables and payables.

Controls and compliance

• Write, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures for operations.
• Make sure operations comply with Insurance Commission regulations and internal policies.
• Keep complete, audit-ready records for every account.
• Prepare regular operations reports for management: production, renewals, pending items and service issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or in any related field.
• At least 7 to 10 years in reinsurance or reinsurance broking, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Reinsurance background is required.
• Experience dealing directly with cedants and local and foreign reinsurers.
• Familiarity with Insurance Commission requirements for reinsurance brokers.
• Strong leadership, organization and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
• Strong written and spoken English; proficient in MS Excel and office tools.
• Professional insurance credentials are an advantage.

Pay: Php120,000.00 - Php180,000.00 per month
