What they need
Operations Lead – Scheduling & Estimating
Plumbing Bros Corporate (Perth)
$90,000 – $110,000 + Superannuation | Full-Time | Perth
Ready to take ownership and lead from the front?
We're looking for a sharp, driven and highly organised Operations Lead to take ownership of our scheduling and estimating operations at Plumbing Bros Corporate (Perth).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scheduler, dispatcher or operations professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll lead our Scheduling and Estimating Teams, drive operational performance and ensure our customers, technicians and workflows are managed efficiently.
But this isn't a role where you sit back and delegate.
We're looking for someone who leads by example. Someone who is just as comfortable answering phones and booking jobs as they are managing people, reviewing reports and driving performance.
If you're a natural problem-solver, thrive in a fast-paced environment and love creating structure and accountability, we want to hear from you.
About Plumbing Bros
At Plumbing Bros, we're redefining what it means to work in the plumbing industry.
We're a growing, systems-driven business committed to delivering exceptional service, building high-performing teams and continuously improving the way we operate.
Our Perth corporate operation is supported by an established team of plumbers, schedulers and estimators, working together to deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers.
We're passionate about creating an environment where people take ownership, support one another and are empowered to make a real difference.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate, you'll take responsibility for the performance of our entire pre-job operation.
Your focus will be on ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently, our plumbers are productive, quotations are turned around promptly, and no opportunities slip through the cracks.
You'll have direct responsibility for the Scheduling and Estimating Teams, working closely with our Plumbing Team Lead on technical matters.
Most importantly, you'll bring structure, accountability and proactive leadership to the operation.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the Team
- Oversee the daily performance of our Scheduling and Estimating Teams.
- Set clear priorities, expectations and performance standards.
- Support, coach and hold team members accountable.
- Be the first point of contact for day-to-day operational challenges.
Own the Schedule
- Actively answer calls, book jobs and assist with scheduling.
- Oversee job allocation, scheduling efficiency and technician utilisation.
- Review forward schedules to identify gaps and maximise productivity.
- Ensure outstanding work orders are actioned promptly.
- Work closely with our plumbing team to keep operations running smoothly.
Drive Quotation Performance
- Oversee the quotation workflow from preparation through to customer follow-up.
- Ensure quotations are submitted accurately and on time.
- Review outstanding quotation reports and drive proactive follow-ups.
- Monitor conversion performance and identify opportunities to secure more work.
- Keep the team focused on delivering results, not just completing tasks.
Drive Operational Accountability
- Prepare, submit and review operational performance reports.
- Conduct regular scheduling and quotation reviews.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Implement better systems and processes to improve productivity.
- Take ownership of operational problems and drive them through to resolution.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines exceptional organisation with strong communication, initiative and leadership potential.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in scheduling, dispatch or operational coordination.
- Previous experience in a trades, maintenance, plumbing or field service business, highly regarded.
- Experience leading a team, supervising others or demonstrating strong leadership potential.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong systems and technology skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Confidence reviewing operational reports, identifying trends and driving improvements.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who:
- Takes ownership and follows through.
- Doesn't need to be chased or constantly directed.
- Holds themselves and others to high standards.
- Enjoys bringing order and structure to a busy environment.
- Is comfortable having difficult conversations when required.
- Leads by example and is happy to roll up their sleeves.
- Wants to grow professionally and contribute to something bigger.
Experience with Ascora or similar field service management software will be highly regarded.
You don't need to have held a formal leadership title to be considered. If you're an exceptional operator who is already stepping up, supporting others and taking ownership, we'd love to hear from you.
