Ready to build something new in Kuching?

A new retail operation is coming to Kuching, backed by an established international retail organisation and we are looking for an energetic and hands-on Operations Leader to be part of the journey from the beginning.

What is the role about?

As an Operations Leader (AM level), you will lead and develop a team responsible for making sure our daily operations are ready for customers.

From customer service and checkout to order fulfilment and goods handling, you will bring people and operations together to create a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.

You will be hands-on, close to your team and ready to step in, solve problems and make decisions when needed.

What will you do?

• Lead, coach and inspire your team to perform at their best.
• Make sure daily operations are ready and running smoothly for our customers.
• Plan your team and resources according to customer traffic, workload and business needs.
• Create a friendly, efficient and positive customer experience.
• Support smooth checkout, customer collection, order fulfilment and goods-handling operations.
• Monitor daily performance and take action when something can be improved.
• Handle customer concerns and operational challenges confidently and professionally.
• Work closely with different teams to make the overall customer journey seamless.
• Maintain strong standards in safety, security and operating procedures.
• Take the lead as Duty Manager during assigned shifts.
• Find simpler, smarter and more efficient ways of working.

Sounds like you?

We would love to meet you if you:

• Have around 3–6 years of experience in retail operations, store operations, customer service, fulfilment, logistics or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Have experience leading or supervising a team and enjoy helping people grow.
• Love working with customers and creating a positive experience.
• Are hands-on and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
• Can organise people, workload and priorities effectively.
• Are confident making decisions and solving problems.
• Stay calm and positive when things get busy.
• Understand the importance of safety, security and following operating procedures.
• Enjoy working with different teams and bringing people together.
• Are curious and always looking for better and simpler ways to get things done.

Experience in retail, customer service, checkout, fulfilment, goods handling, stock operations or team leadership would be an advantage.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the energy to lead, willingness to learn and passion to build a great team and customer experience.
