Operations Management Trainee

Location: Poseyville, IN (Training Location)

Pay: $70,000–$80,000 per year

Nix Companies is a fifth-generation, family-owned business with a growing footprint across the industrial manufacturing and fleet service industries. As we continue to expand, we're looking for motivated individuals who want to grow into leadership positions and eventually manage an entire business operation.

Our 12-month Operations Management Trainee Program is designed to develop future Operations and General Managers through hands-on experience, leadership development, and executive mentorship.

What You'll Do

• Rotate through shop floor operations, estimating, project management, continuous improvement, field services, and sales.
• Learn how to manage people, processes, and financial performance.
• Participate in our internal leadership development program.
• Receive one-on-one executive coaching and mentorship, including biweekly meetings with our CEO.
• Prepare to lead a business unit or entire operation.

What We're Looking For

• Typically 3–8 years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership potential.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, operations, or business management preferred.
• Strong work ethic, accountability, and willingness to work hands-on.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to lead people and drive results.
• Willingness to relocate for a future management assignment (required).

A college degree is not required. We value hands-on experience and leadership ability.

Compensation & Benefits

During Training: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience.

After Placement: Current Operations and General Management positions range from $75,000–$125,000 annually, plus $15,000–$30,000 in potential annual bonuses.
