Operations Manager

Strata (strata.ca) is a tech-forward Toronto brokerage — 85 agents powered by one of Ontario's most-visited real estate platforms, with the pace and energy of a startup. We're entering an expansion phase, and this role reports directly to the owner.

What you'll own

• Automating our agent-onboarding program: converting multiple training modules and manual emails per new agent into a slide deck + automated email sequence (your first-90-days flagship project)
• Developing our SOP and policy library into a system the whole team runs on
• Hiring, training, and managing an Operations Coordinator, plus freelance contractors and vendors
• Running recurring operations — onboarding quality, performance tracking, vendor and invoice QC, subscription and spending reviews — to a zero-follow-up standard: when you take a task, it gets done without anyone chasing you

You

• 10+ years in operations, including 3+ managing people; you've worked with Canadian or American clients (BPO/nearshore service delivery, shared services, or startup ops leadership)
• You've personally built SOP libraries and shipped no-code automations (Zapier/Make, CRM email sequences, Google Apps Script a plus)
• C1+ English, written and spoken (written English is assessed before interviews)
• Advanced Google Sheets/Excel and Google Workspace; Canva familiarity; Follow Up Boss or similar CRM a strong asset; real estate experience is an asset but not a requirement

Terms & growth

• Full-time, long-term independent contractor.

• USD $2,800–$3,200/month depending on experience, paid monthly via Wise.

• Your fee continues through Colombian public holidays and up to 15 business days of planned time off per year.

• You invoice us and manage your own planilla (proof required monthly).

• Core hours aligned to Toronto.

• Paid 90-day trial at full rate, then annual reviews.

• This role is designed to grow: for the right person, it evolves into Director of Operations

  within 2-3 years as Strata hits its growth milestones.
