Job Title: Operations Manager - Luxury Products

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of a luxury products business, ensuring smooth coordination across sales, retail, inventory, procurement, logistics, customer service, and suppliers. The role requires a strong understanding of luxury retail/products, premium customer expectations, inventory management, operational excellence, and high-value product handling.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing operations within the luxury, premium retail, fashion, jewellery, watches, beauty, lifestyle, or high-end consumer products sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

Oversee daily business operations and ensure efficient execution of operational processes.

Develop and implement SOPs, policies, and processes to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, costs, service levels, and overall business performance.

Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and improvement measures.

Coordinate effectively between management, sales, warehouse, procurement, logistics, and customer service teams.

2. Luxury Product & Inventory Management

Manage the complete product lifecycle from procurement and receiving to storage, distribution, sales, returns, and after-sales service.

Ensure accurate inventory records and maintain optimal stock levels.

Oversee stock transfers, replenishment, stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.

Ensure proper handling, storage, packaging, and presentation of high-value luxury products.

Minimize stock discrepancies, damages, losses, and product shrinkage.

Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and high-value inventory.

3. Procurement & Supplier Management

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of products.

Evaluate supplier performance, pricing, quality, lead times, and service levels.

Negotiate commercial terms where required and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Ensure procurement activities are aligned with business requirements and budgets.

Track purchase orders and resolve supply-related issues.

4. Logistics & Distribution

Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for luxury products.

Coordinate with logistics partners, couriers, warehouses, and delivery teams.

Ensure timely and secure delivery of high-value products.

Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, damages, or delivery issues.

Ensure appropriate security and documentation procedures are followed for valuable products.

5. Retail & Customer Experience

Ensure the highest standards of service and operational support across retail/customer-facing operations.

Work closely with sales teams to ensure product availability and smooth order fulfillment.

Support the development of processes that deliver a premium customer experience.

Handle operational escalations related to customer orders, returns, exchanges, and complaints.

Ensure brand standards and luxury service expectations are consistently maintained.

6. Team Management

Lead, supervise, and develop the operations team.

Define responsibilities, targets, and performance expectations.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training.

Ensure effective workforce planning and resource allocation.

Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, attention to detail, and customer excellence.

7. Reporting & Business Analysis

Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.

Track KPIs related to inventory, sales support, logistics, procurement, costs, and customer service.

Analyze operational data and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.

Monitor operational budgets and control unnecessary costs.

8. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and internal controls.

Establish appropriate controls for high-value inventory and sensitive products.

Maintain accurate operational documentation and records.

Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or a related field.

8 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the luxury or premium products sector.

Experience in luxury retail, jewellery, watches, fashion, beauty, premium lifestyle products, or high-value consumer goods is highly preferred.

Strong experience in inventory, procurement, logistics, vendor management, and team management.

Experience handling high-value products and inventory control.

Strong understanding of operational KPIs, reporting, budgeting, and process improvement.

Experience working in the UAE/GCC market is preferred.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be highly organized, commercially aware, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage multiple operational functions in a fast-paced luxury environment. Experience working with premium brands and maintaining high standards of product quality, presentation, security, and customer experience will be strongly preferred.
