Role & responsibilities

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules and records.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and maintain inventory records.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery.

Operations Engineer Responsibilities

• Monitor daily plant operations to achieve production targets.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production departments.
• Analyze operational data and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain production and operational records accurately.
• Ensure product quality standards are met during operations.
• Train and guide operators on safe and efficient machine handling.
• Participate in root cause analysis for operational issues.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Chemistry, or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in maintenance and/or plant operations, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Time management and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software is an added advantage.
