Operations Manager

About the role

Longroom is four venues in one — a buzzing morning coffee and breakfast spot, a slick lunch and dinner destination, a premier events space, and a full-throttle nightclub experience. We're looking for an Operations Manager who can move seamlessly across all four and who thrives when the energy peaks late on a Friday or Saturday night. This is not a 9-to-5 role. You'll be energised by a packed house at midnight, comfortable making calls under pressure with a queue out the door, and know exactly what it takes to keep a 500-capacity venue running like clockwork deep into the early hours.

Key responsibilities

• Full day-to-day operations across coffee, dining, events, and nightlife
• Driving sales growth and hitting EBITDA targets
• Building and leading a high-performing, high-energy team
• Setting the standard for guest experience and service quality
• Staying razor-sharp on compliance — liquor licensing, health & safety, and beyond

About you

• Proven experience managing a high-volume venue or nightclub
• Strong leadership chops and the ability to stay composed under pressure
• Sharp financial acumen — budgeting, reporting, cost control
• Solid knowledge of health & safety and liquor licensing requirements
• Genuine availability and appetite for Friday and Saturday night shifts

Benefits

• Base salary of $100,000–$115,000, plus bonuses of up to $20,000 per annum
• Opportunity to run one of Ponsonby's most iconic multi-format venues
