Operations Manager

Yiino is transforming urban mobility across Africa. We’re looking for a Operations Manager to lead our operation in Yaounde. In this role, you’ll own strategy and execution across key cities, drive growth for both riders and drivers, and strengthen our market position by building high-value partnerships and leading a world-class local team.

Job Responsibilities

Why this role matters As Operations Manager, you’ll be the bridge between our business, communities, and key stakeholders—government officials, driver partners, regulators, local operators, and Yiino’s global HQ teams (Growth Analytics, Expansion, Marketing, Product, Regulatory, Customer Success). Your leadership will directly impact rider experience, driver engagement, and Yiino’s success in Cameroon, one of our most dynamic markets.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & grow the business: Design and execute strategies that increase driver acquisition, engagement, and retention while hitting key growth and revenue milestones.
• Build high-impact partnerships: Cultivate relationships with drivers, fleet owners, regulators, government officials, and local communities to strengthen Yiino’s ecosystem.
• Drive with data: Develop and manage analytical models, dashboards, and reporting systems to track business health and uncover opportunities.
• Shape local strategy: Identify trends, risks, and improvement areas to refine operations and keep us ahead of the competition.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with USA-HQ teams to align on priorities and execute market-specific initiatives.
• Lead the team: Manage, coach, and inspire a high-performing operations team across Cameroon.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven operator: 3+ years in operations or general management, with at least 2 years in a fast-paced tech or internet company.
• Data-driven leader: Strong analytical skills, with experience using data tools to solve complex business challenges.
• Business-minded: Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Business, or related field. MBA a plus.
• Problem solver: Track record of ownership, execution, and delivering measurable results.
• People leader: Strong leadership experience managing diverse teams and collaborating across functions.
• Connector: Excellent English and French communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Execution-focused: Demonstrated success leading projects end-to-end, from strategy through execution.
