About FuelFox

FuelFox is an on-site mobile fueling company. We bring fuel directly to our customers' trucks, equipment, and generators overnight, so their fleets are always full and ready to roll without a driver ever having to leave the yard. We currently operate in Birmingham, Charlotte, Louisville, and Memphis, and we're launching a brand-new branch in Tampa.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and run a market from day one, backed by a company with a proven playbook and a track record of turning new territories into thriving operations.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to own the day-to-day of our Tampa branch. You'll be the person making sure trucks roll on time, routes get covered, drivers have what they need, and customers never have a morning where their fleet isn't fueled.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job.

What You'll Do

• Own daily operations for the Tampa branch and keep every route running on schedule
• Manage, coach, and communicate with a team of fueling drivers
• Build and adjust nightly route plans, making sure every driver is where they need to be
• Keep the fleet operational: preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, DOT inspections, and getting trucks back in service fast when something breaks
• Step in and run a route personally when a driver calls out or a route needs coverage
• Ensure all fueling operations meet DOT, hazmat, and environmental compliance standards
• Handle driver onboarding and training so new hires are set up to succeed
• Serve as the on-the-ground problem solver for anything that comes up overnight
• Work closely with the sales team to make sure new accounts get onboarded and serviced smoothly

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Willingness and ability to run routes hands-on when needed
• Strong communication skills, especially with drivers. This role lives or dies on your ability to keep a team informed, motivated, and accountable
• Comfortable with overnight and early-morning schedules, since that's when the work happens
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle routes, maintenance, and personnel at the same time

Strong plus:

• Prior supervisory or management experience in trucking, fuel delivery, or fleet operations
• Fuel transport or tanker driving experience
• Working knowledge of truck maintenance and the ability to diagnose issues before they become downtime
• Experience with fleet management or dispatch software
