Operations Manager

Duties

• Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
• Oversee daily store operations such as sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling to maximize efficiency and profitability
• Manage scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal staffing levels and operational flow
• Implement effective pricing strategies and oversee purchasing decisions to maintain competitive product offerings
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews, and ongoing training to foster a knowledgeable and motivated team
• Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting purposes
• Maintain organized records of bookkeeping, sales data, budgets, and inventory levels to support operational decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customer bases and staff
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and stock control
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities such as scheduling, budgeting, and customer service standards
• Effective managerial communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire teams toward shared goals
• Basic math proficiency for retail math calculations related to pricing, sales analysis, and inventory valuation
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, purchasing procedures, and operational management strategies
• Strong phone etiquette skills along with organizational acumen necessary for supervising retail operations efficiently
