Operations Manager

Bureau has partnered with Auckland Glass to find an experienced Operations Manager to join its senior team and take responsibility for the effective day-to-day operation of the business.

About the role
Reporting into the Managing Director, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business, working closely with the staff and the senior leadership team.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and managing staff
• Improving and streamlining operational processes and workflow
• Driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the business
• Running weekly scheduling meetings and ensuring effective resource planning
• Running the senior leadership meetings to identify and follow up on process improvements
• Identifying opportunities to improve business performance
• Taking ideas from concept through to successful implementation

About you
We're looking for someone who is confident leading people and has the commercial and operational ability to make things happen.
You'll ideally bring:

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar senior management role
• A background in trade, construction, manufacturing or a related supplier environment
• Strong industry knowledge and established networks
• Excellent people and relationship management skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to identify opportunities and follow through with implementation
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of margins and profitability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer and systems skills
• Energy, initiative and a genuine desire to improve the business

We're open to candidates from a manufacturing background who may not have direct glass industry experience, provided you have the leadership, commercial and operational capability we're looking for.
