Operations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Manager to lead our event rental operations with energy and precision. The Operations Manager will coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations as well as implement the right processes and practices across the organization. The Operations Manager will help to formulate strategy, improve performance and logistical challenges, oversee maintenance needs, and ensure compliance. The Operations Manager will lead and mentor the team through the daily activities in the warehouse and throughout events to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our rental business through strategic management and operational excellence.

Duties

**--**Ensure all operations are completed in an appropriate, cost-effective way.

--Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.

--Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant.

--Oversee the daily workflow in the warehouse; work with owners for staffing upcoming events.

--Assist with maintaining equipment as needed.

--Ensure direct reports are completing their assignments daily.

--Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

--Recruit, train and staff new employees, going over the tasks of equipment set-up / tear-down; train new drivers when applicable.

--Perform quality controls and monitor warehouse KPIs.

--Conducts daily safety checks on warehouse equipment, such as forklift trucks and lifts.

--Oversee staging and loading of outgoing loads for events, ensuring 100% accuracy.

--Conducts and/or oversees ride inspections at each set-up.

--Check incoming loads to determine if any maintenance, repairs, or cleaning is necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities

Weekends are required; flexibility to work additional weekends, as business needs dictate.

· Flexibility to travel overnight(s) as business needs dictate.

· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Knowledge of organizational effectiveness, logistics, and operations management.

· Ability to motivate team to accomplish objectives.

· Ability to solve conflicts among employees and customers.

· Ability to remain organized.

· Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse and know how to do basic maintenance.

· Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.

· Familiarity with business and financial principles.

· Excellent driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.

· Must be able to tow large trailers

· Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $40,603.60 - $50,941.96 per year
