Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the BANANA LEAF ASIAN CAFE INC. team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our hospitality operations. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining service excellence, and driving operational efficiency across all aspects of our café business. This role is integral to achieving our strategic objectives and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor and maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to optimise costs whilst maintaining quality standards
• Train, supervise, and mentor staff members to foster a positive team culture and ensure consistent service excellence
• Implement and monitor operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction
• Maintain financial records, prepare reports, and analyse operational metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Coordinate with management on budget planning, cost control, and revenue optimisation strategies
• Manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to support team development

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of operations management experience within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and hospitality industry best practices
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control analysis
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying operational challenges
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and hospitality management software
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and supplier relationship management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Flexibility to work shift-based hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• Relevant certifications in food safety or hospitality management are desirable
