What they need
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Bojangles franchise in Quakertown, PA is seeking a Operations Manager to serve as the senior leader of our restaurant. This role goes beyond day-to-day operations: while the Store Manager runs the floor, the Operations Manager owns the total performance of the business — brand standards, marketing and advertising, catering growth, and the guest experience. You'll be the face of our restaurant in the Quakertown community and the driving force behind sales growth and new business development. This is the right role for a proven restaurant leader who thinks like an owner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Leadership & Standards
- Own overall restaurant performance, including sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and team culture
- Ensure the store consistently meets or exceeds Bojangles brand standards for food quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and guest experience; prepare for and pass all brand and health inspections
- Supervise and develop the Shift Managers and management team; set expectations, review performance, and build a leadership pipeline
- Review P&L statements and operational reports; set budgets and hold the team accountable to food, labor, and cost targets
- Serve as the escalation point for guest, staffing, vendor, and facility issues
Marketing & Advertising
- Plan and execute local advertising and marketing efforts to drive traffic and sales, including local media, community sponsorships, signage, and digital/social channels
- Implement Bojangles seasonal ad campaigns, limited-time offers, and new product releases on schedule — ensuring correct in-store merchandising, POS materials, menu updates, and team training for each rollout
- Track the results of marketing initiatives and adjust local spend and tactics based on what performs
- Represent the restaurant at community events and build relationships that raise our local profile
Catering & New Business Development
- Grow the catering side of the business: identify and pursue new catering clients such as schools, churches, businesses, sports organizations, and community events in the Quakertown area
- Build and maintain a pipeline of repeat catering accounts; handle quotes, scheduling, and follow-up
- Develop catering processes with the Store Manager so large orders are executed reliably without disrupting in-store service
- Identify other revenue opportunities (fundraisers, bulk/group orders, local partnerships) and bring proposals to the franchise owner
Operations Oversight
- Partner with the Shift Managers on staffing plans, scheduling, inventory, and vendor management
- Step in to lead shifts and support the team during peak periods, new product launches, and manager absences
- Ensure compliance with all food safety (ServSafe), labor, and local/state/federal regulations
- Oversee facility condition, equipment maintenance, and the overall appearance of the store inside and out
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years of restaurant management experience, with at least 1–2 years as a Operations or General Manager or multi-department leader in quick-service or fast-casual (QSR strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated success growing sales through local marketing, catering, or new business development
- Experience executing brand campaigns, promotions, and product rollouts to standard
- Strong P&L literacy: comfortable owning budgets, analyzing reports, and managing costs
- Proven ability to lead managers, not just crew — coaching, delegation, and accountability
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Excellent communication skills and a comfortable, professional presence with guests, community partners, and business clients
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (local travel for catering and community outreach)
COMPENSATION
- Salary: $50k - $60k, commensurate with experience
- Full-time schedule
- Employee meal discount
- Opportunity to shape and grow a locally owned franchise
