Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Norfolk Metro Area

Salary: $75,000 annually plus bonus

Position Overview

A growing organization in the home renovation industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day to day operations within the Norfolk Metro Area.

This position plays a key role in coordinating field operations, supporting team performance, managing service partners, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently while meeting quality and customer service expectations. The Operations Manager will work closely with local and corporate leadership to improve operational performance, resolve challenges, and support continued business growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, accountable leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in home renovation or a related service industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and help ensure the market meets established performance, quality, and service objectives
• Lead, coach, and develop operations personnel to promote accountability, productivity, and teamwork
• Coordinate with service providers and field teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to company standards
• Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of contractors and operational team members
• Monitor project execution and proactively address issues involving scheduling, quality, customer satisfaction, or overall project performance
• Investigate and resolve escalated customer concerns while ensuring timely and appropriate solutions
• Conduct field and job-site visits as needed to evaluate project conditions, service concerns, and quality of work
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, communication, efficiency, and customer experience
• Conduct team meetings and training sessions to reinforce expectations, processes, and performance standards
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, field, and administrative teams to maintain an efficient workflow
• Provide operational leadership and support during periods of increased business volume or leadership absence
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience in operations, home renovation or a related industry
• Demonstrated experience leading employees, contractors, service providers, or field teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues quickly and effectively
• Sound judgment with the ability to evaluate situations and make practical business decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a variety of personalities
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership
• Adaptable and able to effectively manage changing priorities and business demands
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering quality service and resolving issues
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel throughout the assigned market and visit active job sites as needed
• Ability to effectively conduct individual and small group training
