Operations Manager

The role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across payment operations, back-office activities, merchant onboarding, POS operations, and acquiring products while ensuring compliance with applicable scheme and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day payment operations, including clearing, settlement, chargebacks, reconciliation, and fraud-related processes.
• Manage POS operations, including POS applications, functionality, profiles, key injection, TMC, inventory, and related operational activities.
• Lead back-office operations, including merchant applications, documentation, and merchant onboarding.
• Support the end-to-end implementation, testing, and launch of acquiring products.
• Ensure adherence to local and international card scheme regulations, operational controls, data security, and compliance requirements.
• Drive operational efficiency, identify process improvements, and enhance service quality.
• Work closely with Acquiring, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations.
• Lead and develop the Operations team while ensuring clear procedures, SLAs, and performance standards.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Operations experience, with relevant managerial experience.
• Strong background in payments, cards processing, acquiring, or FinTech.
• Solid knowledge of clearing, settlement, chargebacks, fraud management, and reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of POS and merchant operations.
• Experience with merchant onboarding, underwriting and documentation.
• Good understanding of card schemes and payment regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
