Position Mission

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of Robertshaw’s Valinhos, Brazil facility, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and organizational performance.

This highly visible leadership role will develop and execute the operational strategy required to improve business performance, exceed customer expectations, and build a sustainable, high-performing manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, results-oriented leader with strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a demonstrated ability to lead transformation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site operations and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive performance improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, and customer satisfaction.
• Establish KPIs, performance targets, and accountability while leading corrective and continuous improvement actions.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, operational excellence, and structured problem-solving initiatives.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency, capacity, labor productivity, quality, yield, and equipment effectiveness.
• Ensure effective quality, supply chain, materials, purchasing, production planning, and delivery processes.
• Build strong customer and supplier relationships and drive improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and technical capability.
• Lead operating plans, capital planning, productivity programs, cost reduction, and working-capital initiatives.
• Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change and collaborate effectively with global and regional business functions.

Experience and Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations experience, including significant plant leadership responsibility.
• Strong manufacturing and engineering knowledge with demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and operational excellence.
• Strong strategic planning, financial, performance management, and organizational development capabilities.
• Experience managing customer and supplier relationships; OEM and/or distributor manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and change-management skills.
• Experience with ERP/business planning systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English required.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field required.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• ASQ or related quality/continuous improvement certification preferred.
