Operations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our retail environment. This pivotal role involves managing teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency. Duties

• Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
• Oversee daily store operations such as cash handling, POS system management, cashiering, and customer interactions to ensure smooth functioning
• Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory management strategies
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while managing pricing, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities
• Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll processing, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training to enhance team skills in retail sales, product knowledge, and operational procedures
• Monitor store performance metrics using basic math and retail math principles; prepare reports on sales data, budgeting, and operational efficiency
• Foster a positive team environment through managerial communication, leadership development, and conflict resolution
• Ensure adherence to store policies regarding cash handling, POS systems operation, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence
• Support operational management initiatives including merchandising displays, stocking procedures, and store cleanliness

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail store management or supervisory roles within the retail industry with a focus on sales team management
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory control methods, purchasing processes, and cash handling procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication techniques
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing candidates, training & development programs
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping fundamentals, budgeting practices, and operational management tools
• Supervising experience in a grocery or general retail environment preferred; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques
• Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations related to pricing and sales analysis
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including merchandising, stock management, marketing initiatives & store operations seamlessly

Pay: $77,100.00 - $91,000.00 per year
