Medmark is a pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution company based in Lagos. We supply pharmacies, hospitals and healthcare providers with quality medicines, delivered accurately and on time. We are entering a strong growth phase, expanding our supply to hospitals, pharmacy networks and health programmes.

Job Summary:
The Operations Manager at Medmark will oversee the day-to-day business operations, directly reporting to the Managing Director. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership of order fulfilment, stock control, and delivery operations. The successful candidate will ensure every order is accurate, customers are well served, and the team consistently meets company standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Run the end-to-end order fulfilment process, from order receipt to delivery and invoicing, enforcing compliance across the team.
• Collaborate with the inventory manager to maintain accurate stock through cycle counts, batch and expiry tracking, near-expiry management, and proper storage conditions.
• Plan and manage dispatch and delivery logistics, including route planning, delivery confirmation, and turnaround times.
• Own the weekly operations dashboard and report performance to the Founder weekly.
• Oversee sales representatives and customer order processing in coordination with the customer service lead.
• Ensure every customer order is captured, confirmed, fulfilled, and invoiced correctly.
• Set and track weekly sales targets for sales representatives and support them in resolving customer issues.
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a multi-functional team across operations, sales, inventory, and accounts.
• Conduct team meetings and regular one-to-ones.
• Manage day-to-day performance and discipline, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and clear communication.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG distribution, wholesale, or warehousing.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing a team.
• Hands-on experience with order fulfilment, inventory control, and delivery operations.
• Experience managing sales representatives or customer accounts.
• Working knowledge of receivables, collections, and basic reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with accounting or inventory software (e.g., Zoho Books) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong people-management skills with a proven track record of enforcing standards fairly and consistently.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Desirable: Experience supplying hospitals, HMOs, or pharmacy chains and working in retail or wholesale sectors.
• Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a strong bias for execution and follow-through; calm and decisive under pressure; clear communicator who escalates early and reports honestly; adept at using data and dashboards to manage performance.
