Operations Manager

Role Overview

Our client, a US distributor of professional AV and audio products, is seeking an Operations Manager to take responsibility for warehouse, facilities, inventory and logistics operations across its US locations.

The role covers operations in Lititz, Pennsylvania; Farmingdale, New York; Chatsworth, California; and an office in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is a hands-on operational leadership position with a strong focus on improving processes, establishing greater consistency and structure across multiple locations, and developing more effective digital operational systems. Travel between locations will be required and could be up to approximately 50% initially.

Key Objectives

• Take operational responsibility across the Lititz, Farmingdale, Chatsworth and Nashville locations.
• Establish consistent warehouse and operational processes across multiple sites.
• Ensure professional AV and audio products are effectively received, stored, organised and moved through the operation.
• Improve inventory management and visibility across facilities.
• Develop more effective digital systems and processes, with the opportunity to build these from a relatively blank slate.
• Manage logistics and transportation requirements between facilities and across the wider operation.
• Create an operational structure that can support the business as it develops and grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse and facility operations.
• Manage inventory processes, including receiving, storage, organisation and dispatch.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics requirements.
• Develop and implement consistent operational procedures across locations.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory control.
• Support the introduction and development of digital warehouse and inventory processes.
• Supervise warehouse operations and personnel across locations.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to support operational requirements.
• Travel between facilities as required.
• Help establish greater consistency and operational visibility across multiple locations.

Experience & Skills

• Warehouse and/or multi-site operations management.
• Inventory management and stock control.
• Distribution, receiving and dispatch processes.
• Logistics and transportation.
• Introducing or improving warehouse systems and processes.
• Moving manual or paper-based processes towards digital systems.
• Managing and training warehouse teams.
• Working with suppliers and vendors.
• Improving operational efficiency and/or reducing costs.
• Creating consistent processes across different teams or locations.
• Experience working with professional AV, audio, video or other technical products would also be relevant.

Candidate Profile

This role requires someone who can combine hands-on operational leadership with process improvement. The successful candidate will need to understand what is happening day-to-day within warehouse operations while also taking a wider view of how processes, systems and structures can be improved across multiple locations.

The business is looking to develop more digital systems and operational processes from a relatively blank slate, so experience of building or significantly improving processes, rather than simply operating within established systems, will be particularly relevant.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
