Job Overview
Join us at Grit + Grind Coffee
Grit + Grind Coffee is opening in Lake Conroe in January 2027. Join our locally owned and operated franchise, where great coffee and genuine community come together.
More than coffee
Coffee is the beginning. At Lake Conroe, the Café gathers neighbors and The Loft gives local professionals a place to work, meet and connect. We serve people with warmth, quality and a genuine sense of belonging.
The opportunity
Lead the whole Lake Conroe location, not only the coffee counter. Be a hands-on operator, culture-carrier and coach who connects the Café and The Loft into one welcoming, disciplined business. Help prepare the location for opening, build the team and operating routines, then lead the combined guest experience.
How you will contribute
Own Café execution: drink and food quality, speed, hospitality, cleanliness, inventory and vendor coordination.
Share responsibility with owner in Loft (co-work) execution through the team: memberships, tours, bookings, room resets, member communication and professional guest care.
Recruit, train, schedule and coach Café and Loft staff; develop dependable shift leaders and clear accountability.
Coordinate opening and closing, staffing coverage and the two-level guest experience; protect both Café service and upstairs focus.
Manage local operating systems, including Dripos and the selected Loft platform, with reliable billing, booking and escalation routines.
Track sales, labor, product costs, waste, cash controls, membership activity and meeting-room use; report results and action plans to local owners.
Support neighborhood and professional-community relationships, interest-list follow-up and approved local outreach.
Deliver manageable community programming within agreed staffing and spending; coordinate meetings and events without disrupting guests.
Oversee facility readiness, maintenance, safety, member privacy and service recovery throughout the location.
Prepare for The Perch as a later outdoor experience when activated; Café and Loft are the opening priorities.
One location, one accountable leader
Reporting to local owners, you will turn brand standards and local priorities into clear routines, team ownership and follow-through. Specialists may support Café and Loft functions; your responsibility is to make the combined operation work.
Community is how we serve
Love Others: welcome people from every background; learn names when possible and treat every guest with respect.
Spread Light: offer encouragement, make thoughtful introductions when welcome and respect quiet work and privacy.
Work Hard: be prepared, reliable and consistent. Protect service quality and help the team deliver what it promises.
What we are looking for
Demonstrated leadership in hospitality, food service, retail or a comparable guest-facing operation, with real people and financial accountability.
Able to manage multiple service streams and coordinate membership, meeting or event activity; coworking experience is a plus.
Comfortable with budgets, staffing, inventory and operating systems, and able to turn results into practical action.
A hands-on coach who can develop leaders, delegate clearly and still step into service when needed.
Organized, dependable and relationship-minded, with sound judgment about privacy, service recovery and community partnerships.
What success should feel like
Guests and members feel known, respected and comfortable returning.
Coffee service is consistent; workspaces and meeting rooms are ready, reliable and welcoming.
The team understands its roles, receives coaching and can deliver without constant owner intervention.
Community engagement supports repeat visits, member retention and a financially sustainable local business.
Why this location is different
This location combines a lively Café, a focused professional workspace and shared gatherings. The right leader builds practical systems so hospitality remains genuine, repeatable and sustainable.y today!
