Operations Manager / Integrator

Location: Walla Walla, Washington

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 + Performance Bonus

Position Summary

Kingfisher Recruiting has partnered with a CNC machine shop in Walla Walla, Washington, seeking an experienced Operations Manager / Integrator to lead daily operations, improve productivity, develop employees, and establish accountability throughout the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands manufacturing and can translate ownership's vision into effective daily execution. The ideal candidate has experience in a high-mix, low-volume CNC job shop and can balance production schedules, equipment, staffing, quality, customer demands, and profitability.

The goal is to build an efficient, accountable operation that can run successfully without constant owner involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop operations, production scheduling, and workforce management.
• Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
• Develop and manage KPIs to improve productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Coordinate scheduling, estimating, production, and customer priorities.
• Develop SOPs and improve operational consistency.
• Train, coach, and develop machinists and future leaders.
• Manage labor, equipment utilization, production costs, and delivery schedules.
• Work directly with ownership to turn business priorities into actionable plans.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives and resolve recurring operational problems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in CNC machining, manufacturing, or a similar production environment.
• Strong understanding of machining, tooling, setups, scheduling, and quality.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing strongly preferred .
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and hold people accountable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience using KPIs, operational data, and financial information to improve performance.
• Ability to work effectively with machinists while maintaining a hands-on leadership presence.
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Continuous-improvement mindset with demonstrated operational results.

EOS experience is a plus but not required. We are looking for someone with a natural Integrator mindset who can turn ideas into action and take ownership of results.

Candidates may come from Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Production Management, Shop Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or CNC leadership backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000
• Performance Bonus: Based on KPIs
