Operations Manager – Manufacturing Brigg, North Lincolnshire | £60,000 – £65,000 + car allowance + benefits | Full-time, permanent

Forge Partnerships is partnering with QK-TEX to appoint a hands-on Operations Manager to lead its 65-person manufacturing site in Brigg, reporting to the Managing Director.

About QK-TEX

QK-TEX has been making lightweight honeycomb panels in Brigg since 1965 and is part of TEX Group. Its large, complex timber-based composite panels go mainly into leisure vehicles and furniture. After 18 months stabilising the site, the focus now is efficiency and growth.

The role

You'll run a two-shift operation, leading Production, H&S, and Maintenance. This is a visible, shop-floor role: daily production meetings, regular site walks and a clear target of 95% on-time-in-full.

What you'll do

• Lead managers, team leaders and a 55-strong production team
• Own recruitment, performance management and training
• Deliver 95% OTIF and improve lead times and quality
• Drive lean and continuous improvement across pressing, CNC and finishing
• Deliver projects including production software, labour efficiency and equipment replacement
• Report KPIs (OTIF, OEE, quality, turnover per production hour) to the MD and TEX Group

What you'll bring

• Operations or production management in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing
• Background in an engineered or manufactured product (sector is less important)
• Strong people management, including leading through managers and team leaders
• Lean and CI results you can point to
• Resilience, and the drive to lead change
• Good working knowledge of UK health and safety
• Full UK driving licence
