OPERATIONS MANAGER

About the role

PTC Commercial Corporation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing, transport and logistics facilities. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across all operational activities. This role is fundamental to our success, as you will directly impact our productivity, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operational activities across manufacturing, transport and logistics functions to ensure smooth and efficient execution
• Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance productivity
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, preparing regular reports and analyses for senior management
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling and workforce deployment to meet operational demands
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements across all operations
• Coordinate with various departments including procurement, maintenance, quality assurance and logistics to optimise workflow
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products and services meet established standards
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve overall performance
• Lead and supervise operational teams, providing guidance, training and performance management
• Maintain inventory management systems and ensure timely availability of materials and resources
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets expectations

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of operations management experience in manufacturing, transport, logistics or similar industries
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs
• Strong knowledge of operations management principles, lean processes and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing teams
• Proficiency in operations management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to the industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or lean management (Six Sigma) is preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or logistics operations in the Philippines is advantageous
