Operations Manager

Role Description The Operations Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Pembroke, MA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees day-to-day operational activities, including production scheduling, inventory management, and coordination between engineering, manufacturing, and logistics. The Operations Manager helps optimize workflows, maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure projects meet timelines and customer requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, supporting vendor and supplier relationships, improving operational processes, and assisting with documentation and compliance. The role also involves working closely with leadership to forecast resource needs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to scalable operational growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated operations management skills, including production planning, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
• Experience with inventory control, supply chain coordination, and vendor/supplier management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to manage cross-functional communication between engineering, manufacturing, and business teams, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with quality, safety, and compliance practices, ideally in electronics, battery systems, or related technical industries.
• Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including tracking KPIs, using ERP or similar systems, and preparing basic reports and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting with minimal supervision.
• Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in operations management, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing, custom engineering environments, or OEM product companies is highly beneficial.
