Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a busy logistics and warehousing operation on Tasmania’s North-West Coast.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, leading people, improving processes and ensuring safety, service and productivity targets are consistently achieved.
About the Role As Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the operation, providing strong leadership across people, workflow, safety and service delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, developing and supporting the operational team
• Overseeing daily logistics, warehousing and associated workflows
• Coordinating labour, resources, scheduling and operational priorities
• Maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety
• Monitoring performance against operational targets and KPIs
• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost control
• Building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring operational and regulatory requirements are consistently met

About You You will be a practical, people-focused leader who is comfortable taking ownership and working in a fast-paced operational environment.
Ideally, you will bring:

• Proven experience in an operations, logistics or warehouse leadership role
• Strong people leadership and team development skills
• A hands-on and solutions-focused management style
• Sound knowledge of WHS and operational compliance
• Experience managing workflows, resources and competing priorities
• Confidence working with operational systems, reporting and KPIs
• A track record of improving processes and operational performance

Formal qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential. Practical experience, leadership capability and the ability to deliver results are what matter most.
