Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multiple electrical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and project flow
• Develop detailed project timelines using Microsoft Project and other organizational tools to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively
• Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards
• Oversee resource allocation, including manpower scheduling and equipment management, to optimize productivity
• Enforce compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies across all projects
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety practices, and progress milestones; address issues promptly
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, budgets, change orders, and incident reports using Microsoft Office suite applications

• The role

• We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations. You'll run the engineering team, keep projects on track, and free up the Director to focus on growth. This is a key leadership role from day one.

• What you'll do

• • Lead on health and safety: RAMS, site inspections, toolbox talks and accident reporting
• • Manage and forecast labour against the workload
• • Own materials buying, making sure it's cost-effective and on time, with rebates negotiated
• • Streamline the job quoting and set-up process
• • Manage subcontractors, training records and job files
• • Run job management in Simpro
• • Set up the on-call rota and planned maintenance plans for clients

• What we're looking for

• • Operations or contracts management experience, ideally in electrical, M&E or construction
• • Strong on health and safety (SMSTS or IOSH a plus)
• • Confident managing engineers and juggling multiple sites
• • Organised, commercially minded and happy owning problems end to end
• • Full UK driving licence

• What you'll get

• • Salary £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience
• • 22 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising with service
• • Your birthday off after a year's service
• • 7:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, no weekends
