We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join the team and help us create the kind of guest experience people genuinely remember.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves being at the heart of hotel life — visible, hands-on and working alongside the team to make sure every part of the guest journey feels effortless.

We’re looking for someone who understands how important those first welcomes, memorable meals, thoughtful touches and smooth departures are in shaping a guest’s stay.
You’ll work closely with our General Manager to lead and develop the team, drive standards and make sure the hotel runs beautifully day to day.
What you will be doing
You’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel’s guest-facing operations, with particular responsibility for Food Beverage and Reception.
You’ll:
- Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the hotel, supporting teams during busy periods and responding quickly to operational challenges
- Oversee the Reception operation, ensuring arrivals, departures and guest enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Take operational responsibility for the Restaurant, Bar and other Food Beverage outlets.
- Promote teamwork across departments and ensure employees understand how their role contributes to the overall guest experience.
- Oversee the Spa experience, ensuring seamless guests journeys
- Support the General Manager in achieving hotel revenue, payroll and profitability targets.

- Is a natural, warm and engaging leader
- Has strong hotel or hospitality management experience
- Loves being on the floor and involved in the operation
- Understands great food Beverage and Front Office service
- Is commercially aware but never loses sight of the guest
- Takes ownership, stays calm under pressure and gets things done
- Enjoys developing people and creating a positive team culture

.With 6 hotels across the UK and more in the pipeline we can offer you;
- Great hotel and FB discounts for yourselves, family and friends. We want all our hotels to be a place you are excited to share with those you love.
- Exceptional training and career paths. We are passionate about effective performance management from day one.
- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave for all our managers
- On Site Spa/Health club membership to keep you healthy and happy.
- A competitive salary, rewarding exceptional service.

About St Mawes, Cornwall
St. Mawes is a pretty village that once used to be a fishing port. Narrow streets and cottages help to give St. Mawes a quaint feel, albeit with all the modern facilities you could need. There’s a treasure trove of beaches, coves, and creeks all along the Roseland Heritage Coast, including beaches that are perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
You can take leisurely strolls along the coast, spend time relaxing on the beach or enjoy serene boat trips. If you are more active you can make the most of the wonderful walking trails and maybe take part in any of the water sport activities available. Our St. Mawes hotel also makes an excellent base from which to explore the region.
