What they need

What if you could lead high-impact events from concept to execution—turning strategy into seamless experiences while driving operational excellence at the executive level?

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, we desire to see a day when every man, woman and child can encounter Jesus personally through Scripture in a language and format they clearly understand. Today, that vision is moving forward in powerful ways. Of the world’s roughly 7,400 spoken and signed languages, translation work is already underway in nearly 2,800. And while there are 514 known remaining languages still waiting for Bible translation to begin, each one represents an opportunity for you to serve with us as we see Scripture made available to all people!

As an Operations Manager, your contributions will play a pivotal role in advancing Wycliffe’s mission by supporting leadership, optimizing operations and fostering a culture of excellence. Are you ready to join in this transformational work?

You’ll make an impact when you …

  • Manage external event projects from inception to end, including scope definition, project plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables, while tracking progress, addressing risks, and escalating decision points or resourcing needs to event leadership as appropriate.
  • Leverage project management tools and workflows to drive visibility and accountability across external events, supporting effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of budgets, resources, and timelines.
  • Lead day-to-day operational and onsite execution for external events, following established event operations processes and best practices to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated experiences aligned with the strategic direction set by event leadership.
  • Oversee operational planning execution across all phases of external events, including program and experience design, timelines and logistics coordination, vendor and partner management, speaker briefing and support, event communications and collateral, onsite production, and post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure operational excellence across external corporate events, such as President’s Forum, Night of Storytelling, Women of the Word, Small Gatherings, and external celebrations, maintaining consistency, efficiency, and alignment with Wycliffe’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a liaison with the President’s office and supporting executive and external-facing events.
  • Identify, recommend and help implement process improvements, applying event operations best practices, to enhance efficiency, scalability and participant experience.

This job might be for you if …

  • You’re passionate about praying for Bible translation work and seeing lives around the world transformed by God’s Word.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • You demonstrate the desire and ability to support corporate biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities without reservation (Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification).

You’ll thrive here if …

  • You ground yourself in Jesus.
  • You embrace collaboration.
  • You encounter change with resilience and flexibility.

It’s a bonus if …

  • You have training and certification in project management, business process applications and customer experience preferred.
