Operations Manager, Facilities Services (Auckland)

About us

Total Facility HQ is a New Zealand-owned facilities management company. We provide commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, security and laundry services to healthcare manufacturing sites, tertiary campuses, commercial offices and residential buildings across Auckland. We run the business on our own staff and client portal, and we're growing fast, with new contracts and a new grounds division starting now.

The role

You'll run day-to-day operations across all our sites and services, keep every contract at the standard our clients expect, and be the person our clients know and trust. It's hands-on: as much time on site as behind a laptop.

What you'll do

• Lead our cleaning, grounds, security and laundry teams, including rosters, cover and performance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular check-ins, site walks, meetings and reporting
• Be the go-to person for clients on day-to-day service, and fix problems fast
• Mobilise new contracts: recruitment, inductions, equipment and site setup
• Make sure every contract meets its KPIs, response times and audit standards
• Own health and safety on site, including incidents, hazards and toolbox talks
• Keep our portal up to date so clients can see the work being done

What you'll bring

• 3+ years managing operations in facilities, cleaning, grounds, laundry or a similar field
• Experience leading multi-site teams and looking after client relationships
• Good working knowledge of NZ health and safety
• Comfort with technology: rosters, apps and reporting
• Full NZ driver licence and the right to work in NZ
• Calm under pressure and good at follow-through
