Operations Manager (Payments)

Main Responsibilities

• Process daily remittance and payment transactions, including remittances, telegraphic transfers, FPS, cheque clearing, and fund transfers etc.
• Process time deposit daily operations.
• Perform transaction reconciliation and investigate discrepancies, exceptions, and customer inquiries.
• Responsible for product-settlement-related payment processing, including subscription, redemption and dividend disbursement.
• Monitor the smoothness of transaction execution and exceptional cases handling.
• Participate in system enhancements, UAT, process improvement projects, and industry contingency drills.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, regulatory reporting, and risk management initiatives
• Prepare MIS reports, management and regulatory reports.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• A university degree holder or above in Business Administrative / Mathematics / Finance or other relevant disciplines
• At least 3- 5 years banking operations experiences in payments departments
• Solid knowledge with FPS, RTGS, SWIFT, SAA and related payment systems. Experience in interacting with the key local clearing organizations would be an advantage
• Experience in regulatory projects related to HKICL, HKMA and SWIFT and the related backend system enhancement (e.g. HKICL drill test, HKICL FPS release, SWIFT ISO20022)
• Strong interpersonal skill, self-driven with strong sense of responsibility and capability to work independently
• Proficient in written, spoken English and Chinese. Fluent in Mandarin speaking is necessary
