About Bolton Cladding

Bolton Cladding is a large facade and cladding manufacturer. We fabricate and deliver complex building envelope systems for commercial projects, and our work runs through engineering, drafting, procurement, production, QC and field installation.

The Role

This isn't a task-to-task, put-out-today's-fire job. We want a strategic operations thinker who works as a true partner to our Head of Operations. You'll be the mind behind how the operation runs: you study it, find out why problems happen, and design the systems that keep them from happening again. Leadership drives the execution. You define the "what," the "why" and the "how."

What You'll Do

• Map our end-to-end operations and find where things break down, slow down, or depend on the wrong people
• Run root-cause analysis on recurring issues like delays, rework, quality escapes, procurement bottlenecks and handoff failures, and fix them at the source
• Design and document workflows, SOPs, decision rules and accountability structures that people actually follow
• Build the metrics and visibility that let leadership spot problems before they become costly
• Turn your findings into clear execution plans, then work with leadership to roll them out and make them stick
• Challenge how things are done today and bring a long-term vision for how the operation should scale

What We're Looking For

• Significant, recent senior operations experience in manufacturing. We're looking for a specific kind of experience, not general exposure. Fabrication, construction products or project-based manufacturing is a strong plus.
• A proven record of designing operational systems that removed recurring problems, with measurable results you can walk us through
• Deep analytical and root-cause skills (Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Whys or similar), plus the judgment to know which tool fits which problem
• A systems thinker who sees how engineering, procurement, production, quality and the field connect
• Strong communication: you can explain a complex problem simply and get people to buy in to a better way of working
• Comfortable working as a strategic partner and advisor rather than a day-to-day supervisor

Compensation

$100,000–$150,000 per year, based on experience.
