We are a growing, minority-owned firm built on reliability and professionalism.Position SummaryThe Operations Manager runs the business side of Sylver Protections - managing client accounts, contracts and compliance, billing and invoicing, scheduling systems, and new-business/bid support - keeping the company profitable, compliant, and client-ready. This is a full-time, in-office role that works alongside the Field Supervisor, who leads the guard force.Responsibilities- Manage client accounts and relationships; ensure service quality and contract compliance- Own contracts and regulatory compliance (NYS DOS licensing, prevailing-wage / Article 9 where applicable, certificates of insurance, certifications)- Oversee billing and invoicing; track receivables; reconcile guard hours to client invoices- Administer scheduling / guard-management systems and operational reporting- Support bids, proposals, and RFP responses (government and commercial)- Coordinate with the Field Supervisor to align staffing with client needs- Maintain vendor and partner relationships and onboarding- Track key metrics (fill rate, margin, client retention) and report to ownership- Keep company policies, insurance, and licensing currentRequirements- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business Administration, Management, or related) - or equivalent operations experience- 3+ years of operations or office-management experience (5+ preferred)- Proven client account management and contract/compliance experience- Billing and invoicing ability - reconcile guard hours to client invoices and track receivables- Proficiency with scheduling software, MS Office / Google Workspace, and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks)- Strong organization, written/verbal communication, and a professional, client-facing demeanor- Able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines accurately- Able to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) in NYC- Able to pass background check; authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred- Security or staffing industry experience- Familiarity with NYS DOS security regulations and prevailing wage / Article 9- Experience with government contracts, RFPs/bids, and M/WBE programs- NYS Security Guard registration- Experience with CRM / vendor-management systems- Bilingual (Spanish or other)- Operations / project-management certification (e.g., PMP, Lean/Six Sigma)Overview

Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring effective risk mitigation and asset protection
• Manage daily security operations, including supervising security personnel, coordinating access control, and overseeing CCTV surveillance systems
• Analyze operational data using Excel and other tools to identify trends, optimize processes, and support data-driven decision making
• Lead project management initiatives to implement new security technologies or procedures, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints
• Oversee financial management aspects such as profit & loss analysis related to security operations to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Foster a high-performance team environment through team development, leadership, coaching, and managerial communication
• Collaborate with executive-level teams on strategic planning, business development opportunities, and process improvements to enhance overall security posture
