Operations Manager - Wingfield SA

We are seeking applications for the role of Regional Operations Manager for our facility in Wingfield, Adelaide South Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the day to day running of the site and coordinating the provision of services to clients across South Australia. The role entails supervision of up to 10 staff. Tasks including facility management, administrative duties and general maintenance including development and management of the maintenance schedule.

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the smooth operations of the facility. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that the facility is operated safely at all times.
• Maintaining our day to day client relationships.
• The day to day operation of the decontamination facility according to the policies and procedures set down by IDS.
• Monitoring quality of our processes and finished product.
• Ensuring that all work is scheduled and performed in a timely manner.
• Maintaining the maintenance schedule of all vehicles and machinery and managing breakdowns.
• Managing site based staffing including rostering.
• Staffing support including training of new staff and the evaluation and retraining of existing staff.
• Ensuring that all staff abide by IDS policies and operating procedures.
• Ensuring that the equipment and facilities provided to staff are clean and well maintained.
• The security of the facility, all equipment, facility records and documentation and the intellectual property of the company used or stored therein.
• Ensuring that the emergency management procedure is communicated to staff at the facility.

The role is a permanent position from Mon – Fri. The base hours are 38 hours per week however the successful candidate would be expected to work additional hours as required to complete the work on hand including on occasions on weekends and or public holidays. We are offering an attractive salary plus superannuation, and in addition the successful candidate will qualify for a performance bonus program after the probationary period. There may also be the need for interstate travel as required.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience in a Management/Supervisory role.
• Experience running a manufacturing or service facility.
• Experienced in administrative procedures.
• Competent to use Microsoft applications and be able to demonstrate a high level of computer skills.
• Current "C" class drivers license.

Additional preferred qualifications:

• First aid certificate.
• Forklift license.
• Certificate 4 in Workplace Training
