Operations Officer/Port Agent

We are seeking a reliable, highly organised, and proactive Operations Officer / Port Agent to join our team on a yard-based role.

The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day marine and yard operations, liaise with vessel crews, clients, port authorities, suppliers, transport providers, and other stakeholders, and ensure operational requirements are completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day yard and marine operations
• Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berthing, and port-related requirements
• Liaise with vessel owners, operators, masters, crew, clients, and service providers
• Coordinate crew changes, transportation, accommodation, supplies, and other vessel requirements
• Liaise with port authorities, customs, immigration, terminal operators, and relevant authorities
• Prepare and process port, vessel, and operational documentation
• Monitor vessel and yard activities and ensure smooth coordination between all parties
• Coordinate with transporters, suppliers, contractors, and other service providers
• Attend to operational issues and resolve them promptly
• Provide regular updates to management, clients, and vessel representatives
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable local regulations
• Support other marine and yard operational activities as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in port agency, marine operations, shipping, logistics, or yard operations
• Good knowledge of port and maritime operations
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proactive approach with good problem-solving skills
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in MS Office and operational systems
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage
