Operations Process & Performance Specialist

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager at the Madrid Hub/Station and forming part of the Operations Direction. The main responsibilities of this role include: Leading regional and local process improvement projects proposed by management, with a direct impact on station performance, using First Choice methodologies. Developing and leading initiatives to improve operational housekeeping, organization, and workplace standards within the hub facility. Producing regular and ad-hoc Operations KPI reports through Power BI. Supporting the implementation of new operational technologies and processes driven by NOEP initiatives. Monitoring, analyzing, and controlling station performance indicators related to productivity, cost, and service quality. Developing and delivering local training programs for Operations employees and Couriers, in coordination with the Learning & Development team and the CIS coordination team for Net Ops. Supporting the definition, implementation, and follow-up of Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) action plans generated at station level. Ensuring full compliance with DHL Express internal policies and procedures regarding Health & Safety, Security, Quality, Environmental Management, and Energy Management.

Candidate Profile University degree required; a postgraduate qualification or degree in a technical discipline (eg. Industrial Engineering) will be highly valued. Additional qualifications in Transportation & Logistics and Supply Chain Management desirable. Previous experience in a similar role or function (2-5 years), particularly within an Operations environment, is desirable. Knowledge of operational processes, including both hub/warehouse operations and Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) activities, is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and management systems at user level. Fluent English (written and spoken). Strong skills in planning and organization, project management, continuous improvement, analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, teamwork, and customer service orientation.
