Operations Research Analyst (Bacman)

The Operations Research Analyst oversees materials and services planning across all operational facilities to maintain an efficient, uninterrupted supply chain. Sitting within Strategic Sourcing, this role bridges internal sector planning groups with head office teams to manage vendor performance, drive strategic contracting initiatives, and optimize costs. You will challenge existing supply chain processes, implement process simplifications, and ensure end-to-end procurement integrity and efficiency.

Job Description

• End-to-End Material & Inventory Planning: Utilize SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to manage requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory flows, preventing operational downtime while controlling material shortages and excesses.
• Strategic Contracting & Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, adjustments, and annual renewals for local and international suppliers while ensuring strict alignment with company goals, budget availability, and legal standards.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the central supply chain resource to manage vendor performance, resolve account payables or quality issues (QAN/MRB), and align with internal end-users, legal, and finance teams.
• Cost Optimization & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enterprise-wide savings, implement total cost of ownership (TCO) best practices, and optimize vendor selection to eliminate uncoordinated buying.
• SLA & Compliance Management: Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) through key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct risk management assessments, and ensure full adherence to local and international procurement policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Law, Political Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in contracts, procurement operations, and managing third-party service providers.
• Broad understanding of the energy industry and commercial issues, including contract compliance and audit procedures.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, total cost of ownership (TCO) principles, and contract negotiation with local and international vendors.
• Demonstrated experience in managing vendor performance and deploying end-to-end procurement processes.
