Operations Staff – Quantity Surveyor

About the role

This role involves quantity surveying, tender management, and operational scheduling for construction projects including renovations, new builds, and interior work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bill of Quantity (BoQ) for renovation, new construction, and interior projects
• Calculate and verify work volumes based on architectural, structural drawings, and technical specifications
• Identify potential additional work, drawing discrepancies, and uncovered work items in BoQ
• Conduct analysis and evaluation of contractor proposals, including unit price fairness, work item completeness, and specification compliance
• Prepare documents and clear technical briefings for tender process requirements
• Monitor tender processes, including deadlines, clarifications, and contractor proposal follow-up
• Analyze and evaluate project implementation schedules submitted by contractors
• Coordinate and schedule project surveys, meetings, and operational activities with internal teams and contractors
• Monitor and update project work status, schedules, and operational deadlines
• Prepare, manage, and ensure completeness of project supporting documents systematically

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 1 year experience as Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or related position in construction
• Understanding of work volume calculations, BoQ/RAB preparation, and unit price analysis
• Knowledge of material prices, labour costs, and construction execution methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas and data processing, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and construction detail drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SketchUp capability is an added value
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and contractors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Meticulous, systematic, proactive, responsible, with strong analytical capability
