About the role:

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll spend around 80% of your time on the floor with your team, and 20% on planning and admin.

You'll run our packing and fulfilment floor, making sure every Woop order is packed, checked and out the door on time. You'll also work closely with our Production Team Leader and Inwards team, jumping in wherever the week needs you – supporting production, receiving stock, or getting on the forklift. You're the person who keeps the floor connected.

You'll lead a team of around 20 - 25, supported by Team Leaders and senior staff, and report to our Head of Operations.

This is a 9-month fixed-term role covering parental leave, starting early November so you get a proper handover. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to move into a permanent role.

What you'll do:

Lead from the floor

• Work alongside your team packing ingredients and fulfilling orders.
• Support the production team and Inwards when needed, including forklift work.
• Coach and support your Team Leaders and senior staff, and keep the energy up.

Run the week

• Own the roster and keep labour hours
• Make sure stock is right and orders are dispatched on time.
• Work closely with production, procurement, QA and our Operations Coordinator so nothing falls through the gaps.
• Cover label printing and other system tasks when the Operations Coordinator is away.

Keep it safe and keep it right

• Make sure daily food safety standards are done properly and the team is trained.
• Run our health and safety processes and look for ways to improve them.
• Turn customer feedback into practical improvements on the floor.

What you'll bring:

• Supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a food packing environment.
• Solid food safety knowledge from working in a food environment.
• A hands-on attitude – you'd rather be packing with the team than watching from the side.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and a physically active day.
• Good computer skills – confident with Google Sheets and email, and quick to learn new systems.
• A forklift licence is a bonus, but we can train the right person.
• Calm under pressure, organised, and good with people.

Please note:

• This role is 35 hours per week, mainly Tuesday to Friday, with the occasional Monday or Saturday when the week needs it.

• This is a fixed-term role covering parental leave, from early November 2026 through to mid-2027.
