About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Alice Springs facility on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our records management facility. This position is essential to ensuring that our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing warehouse operations, coordinating logistics activities, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery to our clients. Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily warehouse and facility operations, including document storage, retrieval, and processing activities

• Oversee staff scheduling, task allocation, and performance management to ensure efficient workflow and productivity targets are met

• Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and conduct regular safety briefings and audits

• Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and maintain accurate records using management systems

• Coordinate logistics and delivery operations, including planning routes and managing transportation schedules

• Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards

• Liaise with clients regarding service requests, enquiries, and resolution of any operational issues

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within operations

What we're looking for

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements relevant to records management and warehouse operations
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Demonstrated experience in inventory management and stock control systems
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and computer software applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges
• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties and operate material handling equipment
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence
• Experience in the records management, logistics, or transport industry is highly desirable
• A valid unrestricted driver's licence is required for this role
• NT police check or ability to obtain one is required for this position.
