Operations Supervisor

Description

Managing production technicians and workers on a daily basis to achieve maximum productivity at the lowest cost.

Monitoring production rates hourly and taking corrective action as needed.

Ensuring the availability of packaging materials to implement the production plan.

Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and hygiene standards.

Isolating non-conforming batches, conducting root cause analysis, and taking corrective actions.

Coordination with the maintenance team to ensure rapid repairs when production lines are down.

Preparing and completing daily production reports.

Monitoring material usage and reducing waste and scrap.

Ensuring compliance with safety instructions and procedures.

Ensuring the cleanliness of the production hall and its associated work areas.

Measuring manufacturing productivity through availability, performance, and quality (OEE).

Monitoring the achievement of planned production volume and the reliability of production lines.

Monitoring the rate of waste and loss of materials during production.

Tracking operating costs, energy, consumables and labor for each unit of production.

Supporting internal and external audit processes and maintaining quality standards.

Monitoring compliance with safety standards within the factory.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Food Science, or a related field.

Previous experience in production or manufacturing processes.

Good knowledge of SOPs, GMP procedures and hygiene standards.

Knowledge of production performance indicators, especially OEE.

A good understanding of production planning, material usage, and waste reduction.

Good knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.

Strong skills in leading and managing a team.

Good skills in problem-solving and root cause analysis.

The ability to coordinate with the maintenance, quality, and other departments.

Good reporting and communication skills.
