Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store activities, including sales floor operations, inventory management, and customer interactions.
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee employee orientation, interviewing, scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth store functioning.
• Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize inventory levels and sales opportunities.
• Handle cash handling procedures, POS system operations, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cashiering duties with accuracy.
• Implement merchandising standards and oversee stocking, inventory control, and store presentation to enhance the shopping experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures while fostering a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within the retail industry or grocery stores.
• Strong management skills with expertise in retail sales management, team leadership, and operational oversight.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with POS systems, purchasing processes, inventory management software, and retail math fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service excellence, and employee training & development.
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks including cash handling and cashiering procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across shift management and daily operations.
• Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, merchandising strategies, pricing policies, and stock control methods.
• Basic math skills essential for budgeting, sales calculations, and inventory assessments.
• Previous experience in retail store product knowledge or grocery store environments is preferred.
