Position: Operations Supervisor
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to play a critical role in the daily execution of setup and knockdown of our event contracts and serve as a primary point of contact for PER. The Operations Supervisor manages all daily communication between our field teams and both the President and Vice President. In this role, you will lead crew operations, optimize staffing, handle inventory, enforce rigorous safety standards, and ensure our events are executed flawlessly.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: Direct daily crew operations, assign member/leader roles, and hire, train, and advance field staff.
• Communication: Facilitate daily updates between the field and the office while leading monthly company check-in meetings.
• Scheduling: Manage schedules for field crews, warehouse personnel, based on event contract needs.
• Client Relations: Interact with clients in the field to conduct site surveys and establish comprehensive event plans.
• Logistics & Fleet: Oversee the safe, timely pre-loading, loading, transport, and unloading of trucks and trailers.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Maintain strict inventory control for vehicles and warehouses while coordinating equipment cleaning and repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Conduct mandatory safety training and enforce all OSHA and state government regulations.
• Event Execution: Supervise the structural setup and teardown of tents, flooring, stages, lighting, tables, chairs, and other rental equipment.
• Performance Management: Conduct routine performance reviews and execute disciplinary actions per company policy.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate on operational goal-setting with crews and management.

Schedule

• Day Shifts: 8 to 12-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday.
• Flexible Hours: Weekends and select evenings based on the active event schedule.
• Availability: On-call availability required 7 days a week.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of event planning or commercial tenting experience.
• Management: 1+ year of proven team management or supervisory experience.
• Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification Class 7 and OSHA Certification.
• Logistics: Documented ability to safely drive a box truck, large trailer, and heavy trucks.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding multi-tasking, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Tech Literacy: Competent in Microsoft Office, Goodshuffle Pro, and Google Workspace applications.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Physical Activity: Physically active for up to 80% of the workday, requiring continuous standing, walking on sand and uneven terrain, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Heavy Lifting: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs independently, and occasionally up to 75+ lbs via team lifts and mechanical assistance.
• Environment: Regular outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extended walking on beach sand.
• Machinery: Routine operation of forklifts, utility carts, material dollies, and JLG lifts.
• Safety Equipment: All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is fully provided by the company to ensure a safe working environment.

Driver Eligibility Criteria

• Licensing: Must hold a valid, unexpired driver’s license. (CDL Class A, B, C is a plus but not required)
• Driving Record: Must maintain an acceptable, clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Violations: Zero DUI, reckless driving convictions, or excessive moving violations within the past five (5) years.
