Operations Supervisor - Graveyard

Join our dynamic team as an Operations Supervisor for the Graveyard shift, where you'll lead and oversee warehouse distribution activities during overnight hours. This vital role ensures the smooth, efficient operation of our distribution center by managing team performance, optimizing processes, and maintaining safety standards. As a key leader in our warehouse operations, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate logistics activities, and uphold inventory control protocols to meet organizational goals with energy and precision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse distribution activities during the graveyard shift, ensuring timely shipping and receiving of goods.
• Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction, motivation, and managerial communication to foster a productive work environment.
• Oversee inventory management processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques to maintain accuracy and accountability.
• Operate and manage material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA standards.
• Implement process improvement strategies utilizing lean management principles to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA guidelines, promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize distribution center operations, including shipping & receiving schedules and inventory flow.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes related to warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution center management with a focus on night or graveyard shifts.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with previous warehouse supervisor or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and inventory control procedures.
• Skilled in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners; forklift certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like lean management to streamline workflows.
• Excellent communication skills suitable for managerial roles and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials efficiently using appropriate equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and materials handling.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $107,900.00 per year
