About the Role

• Location: Hobart, Tasmania
• Workdays: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Operations Supervisor to lead a team of waste professionals to effectively manage our daily operational goals. This is a hands-on role with consistent engagement with our driving teams to achieve the desired outcomes regarding safety, productivity and process compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business
• Oversee Commercial operations on a day-to-day basis, including the management of the commercial driver team, run scheduling and optimisation
• Ensure all drivers and staff comply with JJs training requirements and accreditation
• Establish and manage relationships with customers and the public, maintaining the highest level of customer service
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in operations whilst always upholding a high level of safety

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in transport, logistics or service industry is highly regarded, but not essential
• HR licence and driving experience
• Strong Microsoft Office capability and reporting skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Demonstrated results orientated skills and focus on always striving for efficiencies
• Well-developed people and relationship skills
• Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and create and maintain a positive work environment

What you’ll need

• Undertake and satisfy a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
• Current Australian working rights.
