Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Outbound - Day Shift

Description We’re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong on a Sunday to Wednesday day shift.

The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Support and work in other departments as required,
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties,
• Providing coverage for Area Managers,
• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline),
• Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours,
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance,
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance,
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity,
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals,
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised,
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area,
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager.

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience leading teams
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
• Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience directly managing others
• Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
